A Love Story Where the Ending Is Still a Question

Chapter 1 — It Started Without a Plan

Arjun and Ananya came from stable, well-settled business families.

Their lives were comfortable. Neither of them was struggling to survive. Both had their own ambitions, careers, and plans for the future.

But their story didn’t begin with love.

It began during the lockdown.

A common interest in trading brought them into a Telegram group. Slowly, they started chatting.

Then came PUBG.

At first, it was nothing more than:

“Hi.”
“Hello.”
“How’s everything?”

There was no relationship.

No expectations.

Just two people who happened to know each other online.

Chapter 2 — Five Years of Knowing Without Meeting

Arjun eventually got admission to an M.S. College in the Ghaziabad/Delhi NCR area.

Even then, he occasionally asked Ananya to meet him.

But she always avoided it.

There was a reason Arjun didn’t know.

Ananya was already in a relationship with Kunal.

She and Kunal had been together since 2015.

Arjun knew nothing about this relationship.

So, for years, Arjun and Ananya remained nothing more than online acquaintances.

Five years passed.

They knew each other…

but had never actually met.

Chapter 3 — When Life Changed

Eventually, Arjun got a job.

Ananya was also working as an accountant in the finance field.

By this time, Ananya’s relationship with Kunal had already ended.

She was still recovering emotionally from that chapter of her life.

And then something changed between Arjun and Ananya.

Their old “Hi-Hello” conversations became longer.

They started talking more.

Arjun again suggested meeting.

This time…

Ananya agreed.

After almost five years of knowing each other, they were finally going to meet.

Chapter 4 — The First Meeting

Their first meeting happened at a movie theatre.

They went to watch Stree.

For years, they had known each other through screens.

Now they were sitting together in the same place.

They talked.

They laughed.

They shared stories about their lives.

And something felt different.

Ananya enjoyed being around Arjun.

Arjun enjoyed being around Ananya.

Neither of them called it love.

Not yet.

Chapter 5 — From Friends to Something More

A few days later, they met again.

Then again.

And again.

Their conversations became regular.

They started discussing everything:

Their jobs.

Their ambitions.

But Arjun and Ananya themselves weren’t sure what they were.

Chapter 6 — The Night Everything Changed

One night, they went clubbing together in Noida.

Arjun made Ananya feel safe and comfortable.

After everything she had experienced in her previous relationship, that feeling meant something to her.

Slowly, Ananya began wondering:

“Does Arjun actually want a relationship with me?”

But Arjun wasn’t necessarily thinking that way.

At least, not initially.

For him, she was simply someone he cared about deeply.

Someone he wanted to support.

Eventually, Arjun realized that they couldn’t stay in this uncertain space forever.

One day, they met outside a metro station.

Arjun finally spoke honestly.

He told Ananya:

“If we want to take this relationship forward, then let’s do it properly. Otherwise, you go your way and I’ll go mine. We can still remain friends.”

It was supposed to be a simple conversation.

But emotions took over.

Both became emotional.

They hugged.

And somewhere between that conversation and that embrace…

they made their decision.

They chose each other.

They said:

“I love you.”

And their relationship officially began.

Chapter 8 — The New Year

Their relationship initially continued almost like their friendship had.

They were together.

Over the next two years, their relationship grew stronger.

Arjun’s feelings also changed.

What had initially been friendship became genuine love.

He began imagining Ananya as part of his future.

Both wanted to become financially stable.

Both had dreams.

Arjun wanted to build his own business.

Ananya wanted to grow in her career.

They supported each other.

They celebrated birthdays together.

They spent time with each other’s friends.

From the outside, everything looked perfect.

But every relationship has moments of weakness.

And this one was no different.

Chapter 10 — A Small Secret

At one point, Arjun started talking to another girl.

It wasn’t initially meant to become another relationship.

He eventually realized that his life already had Ananya.

He didn’t want anyone else.

But some of those conversations were still there.

And Ananya eventually saw the chats.

She didn’t know Arjun’s intentions.

She only saw the messages.

And messages can sometimes look very different when you don’t know the story behind them.

Chapter 11 — The Past Returns

But then something happened that Arjun didn’t know about.

Ananya met her ex-boyfriend…

Kunal.

The relationship between Ananya and Kunal had never received a proper ending.

Years had passed.

But some chapters don’t really close.

Kunal repeatedly asked to meet her.

Eventually, Ananya agreed.

They met.

And what happened between them went beyond a simple conversation.

But Ananya didn’t tell Arjun the truth.

She continued talking to Arjun.

And she continued communicating with Kunal.

Two different chapters of her life were now existing at the same time.

Chapter 12 — The Trip

Then came the trip.

During the trip, Arjun asked Ananya about the conversations with another girl.

Ananya confronted him.

She told him:

“Why were you talking to that girl? She told me everything.”

Arjun explained his side.

He told her that his intentions weren’t what she thought.

He admitted that some conversations may have looked inappropriate, but he had stopped himself from taking anything further because he knew he already had Ananya.

The issue seemed to be settling down.

Until…

Kunal entered the picture.

Chapter 13 — The Message

One day, Kunal contacted Arjun.

He told him:

“You don’t know the truth about Ananya.”

He claimed that Ananya had met him recently.

He even mentioned details that made Arjun suspicious.

Arjun didn’t immediately explode.

Instead, he went to Ananya.

He asked her calmly.

“Tell me the truth. What happened?”

Ananya denied it.

She said:

“Nothing happened between us.”

She even swore that she was telling the truth.

Arjun believed her.

Because when you love someone…

sometimes you choose to believe them even when your mind is asking questions.

Arjun told himself:

“Everyone makes mistakes. Maybe Kunal is lying.”

And he accepted her explanation.

Chapter 14 — The Second Call

But then Kunal called again.

This time, he told Arjun more details.

He insisted that he and Ananya had met.

And that their meeting had gone much further than Ananya had admitted.

Ananya still denied it.

She accused Kunal of lying.

She said he was trying to destroy their relationship.

The trip was ruined.

Arjun couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Something wasn’t adding up.

Chapter 15 — The Truth Comes Out

Arjun kept asking questions.

Not because he wanted to fight.

Not because he wanted revenge.

He simply wanted the truth.

Eventually…

Ananya admitted that she had met Kunal.

She admitted that she had hidden it from Arjun.

And she admitted that she had previously told Arjun that she had never been physically intimate with anyone in her past relationship.

That too wasn’t true.

For Arjun, the biggest shock wasn’t simply what had happened.

It was the lies.

Because there was one thing he had always valued above everything else:

Trust.

He could have understood a mistake.

He could have understood confusion.

He could have understood complicated emotions.

But how could he understand a relationship built on lies?

Chapter 16 — Two People, Two Homes, One Question

After everything came out, Arjun returned home.

Ananya returned home too.

There was no dramatic ending.

No final decision.

No clear goodbye.

Just silence.

Two people who had once laughed together…

explored Noida together…

celebrated birthdays together…

made plans together…

were now sitting separately, trying to understand what their relationship had become.

Arjun still loved Ananya.

But the trust between them had been badly damaged.

Ananya still had feelings for Arjun.

But she had also made choices that could not simply be erased.

And now they were both standing at a crossroads.
